    -Britain and France saw that appeasement wasn't working
    -Germany needed to be stoped

    -Chamberlain was an advocate for appeasement
    -saw that everyone lost hope in him

    -everyone saw Germany had to be taken seriously

    -if this battle was lost by the allies Britain would be under German control

    -Germany was being attacked the western and eastern fronts
