Germany invades
Germany invades the country of Poland which results in Great Britain and France to declare war on Germany. -
Pearl Harbor
Japan leads a massive attack on Pearl Harbor damaging muiltiple ships and killing thousands. This was Japan's first strike at the US. The Japanese mainly used airplanes and submarines. -
Germany Surrenders
The Allies defeat Germany and Germany is forced to surrender. Hitler and his wife commit suicide and President Roosevelt dies shortly before. -
The Atomic Bomb
The United States uses the newly created atomic bomb and uses it against the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Following the second bomb Japan surrenders. -
The United Nations
The United Nations is formed following the end of the war.
