    Armored vehicles that move on heavy metal chains called tracks, They were first used by the British. They use the same technology as bulldozers and tractors but designed to cross trenches and plow to barbed wire and other obstacles. The metal armor protects them from guns shots and pieces of metal from the exploding artillery shells.

    The first machine guns in the first world war were very heavy and not very portable. Advancements happened and they became much lighter.
  • Airplanes

    Though, the average life span of a pilot is 3 weeks because there was always the fear that they would change sides and tell the others our plan. By the end of the war, there were many improvements. They are now remodeled to shot bullets and carry/drop bombs. Airplanes also had many peacetime purposes.
  • Submarines

    They were also called "U-Boats" by the Germans. When WWI began, the British Navy was the largest, but Germany was exceeding with the submarines. Germans fleet sank 2600 allied ships. Allied used the convoy system to protect their ships from submarines.

    Many poisonous gases were used during WWI, chlorine gas as the deadliest. the burned your eyes and your lungs. Therefore causing victims to choke, gag and suffocate to death. The Germans were the first to use chlorine gas. Though, the gas attacks weren't as effective
