    The reason why the US joined the war was the Lusitania sinking. When it sank, there were 100 americans on board. Then the US reactied in vioolance.

    There are a total of 36 WWI Bombers Aircraft in the Military Factory.
    The Martin MB-1 was the first American designed heavy bomber. That was the only heavy bomber that America made for WWI. Fun Fact- only 22 were made

    Men would die daliy to gun shoots, shells, and even sleeping in dugouts. When the men would sleep in the dugout, a shell could hit the top and make it colapes on top of them.
    Men were scared of the brown rats more than the black, because the brown ones could grow to the size of a cat.
    There was a unoffical truce for cleaning gun and eating breakfast. When the wagon with the food left the truce was over.

    There are only a total of 6 American tanks.
    The Mark VIII was a American heavy tank. It's top speed was 6.5 mph on flat ground. It was armed with a Mk 2 57mm cannon. It had 5-7 smaller cannons and machine guns. They even had a opening on the bottom, so they can shoot at the ememy when going over the trench.

    They had bayonts, flamethrowers, grenades, machine guns, pistols, posion gas, rifles, Tanks, and trench mortars.
    Flamethrowers- They were uncommon and in 1915, the germans attacked the British at 3:15pm and killed 31 officers and 751 other ranks. Machine gun- They figured they could fire 400-600 rounds pre minute. It would jam, then they made air & water cooling.

    He started out as an Army National Gaurd. Then he enlisted to the regular army in 1917. He finished the rest of the war as a aviator (pilot) and a instructor at the School of Military Aeronautics, in 1918. As an instructor he was involed in a plane crash when one of his students froze at the controls in 9/24/1918.
