    The Triple Alliance
    Germany and Austria-Hungary allied with Italy in 1882. They signed a document that promised they would give each other support if Russia were to attack, or declare war. Germany also shared borders and languages, connecting the two during war.

    Moroccan Crisis
    International Crisis over the status of Morocco between 1905-1906. This made Germans have bad terms with United Kingdom and France. The purpose of this crisis was to disrupt the Anglo-French Entente.
  • Triple Entente

    Triple Entente
    Britain, Russia, and France make an allegiance with each other. They signed the Anglo-Russian Entente which was a formal alliance as the prospect of war was possibly going to happen. The war would be with the Central Powers.
  • Bosnian Crisis

    Bosnian Crisis
    This crisis was severe tension caused by the annexation by Austria-Hungary of the Balkan provinces of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Many were outraged of the annexation. This conflict and resentment caused the war with Balkans, 1911-1912.

    Archduke Franz Ferdinand death
    He was an Archduke of Austria-East and Austro-Hungary. From 1896 until death, he was the prince of Hungary and Bohemia. He was killed with his wife at point blank range. This set off a chain reaction of events with countries blaming each other and thus leading to war.

    Tsar Nicholas
    Tsar was the last Emperor of Russia in the Orthodox Church. Him and his family were assassinated July 17th, 1918 by Bolsheviks. After being passed down the throne from his father, he later on resigned.

    Vladimir Lenin and Alexander Bogdanov founded Bolsheviks. They were an organization of democratic workers. Ruled by what they called themselves "the leaders of the revolutionary working class of Russia."

    The U.S. joined it allies, Britain, France, and Russia. Germany announced they would be destroying all ships that entered the war zone around Britain. As America entered the war, it saved Great Britain from bankruptcy.

    The Treaty of Versailles is an important event that brought World War 1 to an end. This is the end of war between Allied Powers and Germany. The Germans had to pay money to the Allies which is one of the reason why Germany was angered.

    The Nazi Party was also known as the National Socialist German Workers' Party. Adolf Hitler was the leader. The party killed Jews during the Nazi reign.

    "Mussolini was the founder of Fascism and leader of Italy from 1922 to 1943. He allied Italy with Nazi Germany and Japan in World War Two." Anxious for power and he declared war on Britain and France. He later on was captured and shot by Italian partisans.

    Economic Depression throughout the world. It started in the United States. It began after the Stock Market crashed. No jobs, no money.

    Japan lacked supplies of iron and coal to maintain its development. Japan's land was not able to supply enough food for its people. Japan had minimal amounts of land to grow and develop as a country.
  • Hitler becomes Chancellor of Germany

    Started the end of the Weimar Republic. Hitler demanded to be the Chancellor of Germany. Franz von Papen was anxious to gain power that he made a deal with Hitler he'd become Chancellor and he'd be Vice-Chancellor.

    Hitler invades Czechoslovak
    Hitler ordered his troops to take over Czechoslovakia. The troops took over Bohemia and had a protectorate over Slovakia. The Munich Pact was signed which handed over Czechoslovakia in the name of peace.
