    Columbus was a Spanish explorer drom Italy, He was a daring captain who tried to go west across the atlantic ocean in search of an alternate trade route to Asia with three ships: the Nina, Pinta, and Santa Maria.

    First enslaved Africans Arrive in the Americas
    Many Africans began conquering other Africans to sell them to Europeans. They have a little business which quickly escalated. These Africans just wanted goods in return. Before we knew it, millions of Africans were being imported to the Americans to work as slaves. Many of them died on the journey to America because of diseases. This year marks the first time that Africans were brought over to the Americas. This is what we called the "African Slave Trade."

    Cortes conquers Aztec empire
    Hernan Cortez was a Spanish explore. He was looking for gold. He arrived at a city called Tenochtitlan, where the Aztecs lived. They all thought that he was their serpent god, Quetzal Quatl, because he was dressed in armour and because he arrived at the time that their god was supposed to arrive. They offered him anything he wanted. He only wanted gold. Cortes then killed Montezuma, the leader of the Aztecs, and took over the Aztec Empire.

    Pizarro conquers Incan empire
    Atahualpa was the leader of the Incan Empire. Pizarro was a Spanish explorer. Pizarro wanted to give Atahualpa a bible so he told the priest to give it to him. The priest handed it to him and Atahualpa got mad at the because he didn't place it in front of him. One of Atahualpa's priests chucked it at the wall. Pizarro captured Atahualpa and stopped the messengers from delivering the message to the army by chasing the messengers down with horses. Pizarro beat Atahualpa with Guns,Germs, and Steel

    English found Jamestown
    A few English settlers went to America to start a colony. They claimed land for England and called it Jamestown in honor of their King. He funded their journey so they thought that it was the right thing to do to name the colony after him. At first, Jamestown was not successful. All of the colonists were looking for gold, but none of them found any. They eventually survived because they got weathly off of cash crops.

    One of the first English colonies was Plymouth. The colonists did not like how the church was connected to the government so Plymouth was a colony that separated the two.

    The French and Indian war was a war between the French/ Indians and the English colonies. The French and the Indians thought that the English were taking too much land. The English colonies eventually won the war because they were supported by England's military.
