    D-Day was at the Normany Beach in France on June 6, 1944. It was a large-scale, massive, planned attack on the embedded German forces which were threatening to cross the Channel and overrun England after they'd successfully taken most of mainland Europe. It was a big success for the Allied Forces, lead by the US General Eisenhower, who went on to be President following the war.
