    (verb): to tell or talk about as a secret; to entrust to someone
    The boy and girl confided their true feelings for each other when no one was around to hear.

  • Pathetic

    (adjective): pitifully unsuccessful, ineffective, etc.
    The attempt to overthrow the totalitarian government was pathetic and the resulting civil war was lost.
