Poison Ivy
Betty was bullying Annabelle on the way to school when Toby shows up and defends Annabelle. Betty fell backward into poison ivy. Betty’s condition was very severe and she couldn't show up to school the next day. -
Andy and Betty
Andy Woodberry sits in Betty’s seat, and they start talking. They start making fun of another’s last name. Then, out of the blue Betty starts being nice to Andy, and we assume they start to like another. Betty starts ignoring Annabelle for a while. -
Ruth's Rock Incident
Ruth and the other schoolhouse kids were outside by the road crowding around Mr. Onsals wagon while all of a sudden a rock is thrown from high up behind the kids and it hits Ruth directly in her eye. Once the teacher notices Ruth’s injury she picks her up and brings her into her car and they drive off together to go seek medical attention. -
Wire
A few days after the incident with Ruth, Annebelle’s brother James got cut by a wire. We believe that Betty and Andy set it up because they were out to get Annabelle and her brothers. -
Toby Goes Missing
Constable Oleska also states that Toby also has very well gone missing. They possibly think that he did because they suspect that he threw the rock and is trying to escape. They also suspect that he is unusual because they saw that he took photos of Annabelle and from the angle of where the rock was thrown. -
Betty Goes Missing
One night Constable Olesaka shows up at Annebelle’s house. He tells Annebelle’s family that Betty was missing. He had talked to Betty’s grandparents and they told them that Betty left for school, like usual but she didn’t come home. Andy was planning to meet Betty, but she never came. Andy went to the schoolhouse to try to find her, but she isn’t there. Predictions are that Aunt Lily thinks that Toby could’ve kidnapped her or taken her away. -
Annabelle Finds Supplies For Toby
Annabelle scavengers for supplies to give to Toby. She gathers food, clothes, and scissors to cut Toby’s hair. She puts all the supplies in her pillowcase. Annabelle suggests to Toby that he should trim his hair and beard. At first, Toby declines, but Annabelle convinces him. She does this so that it would be harder for people to recognize Toby. -
Annabelle Finds Toby
When Annabelle’s father and other people from the town go searching for Betty and Toby, Annabel goes out ahead of time without telling anyone and goes to Toby’s shack in hopes of finding him. She knocks on the door and Toby answers the door. Shocked, Annabel starts to explain that they need to leave and go with Annabel to her farm because her father and other people are searching for him and Betty and they think that Toby might have something to do with Betty disappearing.
