    treaty documentThis Treaty made Germay take full blame for the war. They were forced to pay huge reparations It Limited size of German military. Alsace and Lorraine were given back to France. German oversea colonies were taken away.
    This made Germany angry and they had huge debt they couldnt pay back letting people like Hitler take charge.

    We passed four of these overall. They were made to keep the States out of the war and were succsessful for years. They ensured The US would not help calm down things before the war even started.

    Mussolini invaded Ethipia to start trying to take back his Roman Empire. The League of Nations was put to the test and failed by doing nothing.

    Japan invades China
    Japan, an Axis power invaded China at the Marco Polo Bridge. This started a war between the two countries and made the whole world more tense.

    Hitler seizes Austria
    Hitler took the German speeking country by force. The people of Austria voted to not be annexed but were anyway. This would begin a chain of appeasement of Hitler that would start the war.

    In this Conference Hitler met with the leaders of France, Britain, and Italy. They allowed him to take the Sutenland as long as he took nothing else. This was just more appeasement to Hitler that would lead to the war.

    Hitler seizes all of Czechoslovakia
    Hitler after taking the Sutenland and promising to take no more land seized the country. At this point Britain and France were starting to understand Hitler but, still did nothing. This was one of the final things before war was declared.

    WWII was in full swing in Europe. Meanwhile the US remained nuetral. People wanted to not get involved but when France fell they were scared for the fall of democracy. This law gave weapons to England and they didn't have to pay for them. The US was now picking side.

    presedent's address The Jpanese attack on Pearl Harbor was the start of the war in the US. While some historians believe that the US would have evenually entered the war, this was certainly a catylist. People were now motivated to fight the Axis powers. This attack was unexpected in this area but, we thought that the Japanese may attack the Phillipines.
