    Following the French and Indian War, French colonists were left resentful of Britain and in effort to “control” and regain order of the French the British took action. These actions included deportation of French colonists and to keep a closer eye on the French, not allow them to move west of the Appalachian mountains. Keeping the French to the east coast allowed British easier access to collect taxes.
