Great Bed of WareBuilt by Hertfordshire Jonas Fosbrooke circa 1590, the bed measures ten by eleven feet and can sleep over 15 people at once.
The first tollgate or "turnpike"In Wadesmill, near Ware in Hertfordshire an Act was passed which allowed justices of Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Huntingdonshire to levy tolls on road users.
Ware Online is launchedA community website for the town of Ware. The first month saw 50 visitors. In July 2006, Ware Online received over 50,000 visitors.
