    Munich Agreement Signed For The Sudetenland
    Hitler wanted his 3 million German-speaking people that were living in the western border regions of the region called Sudetenland to be treated right. Instead of fighting with them, Hitler invited french premier Edouard Daladier and British prime minister Neville Chamberlain to meet with him in Munich. At this lunch Hitler adressed his concerns for his people, asking for Sudetenland to be turned over to Germany. Hitler got what he wanted without bringing up a problem.

    The German air force known as Luftwaffe rained bombs on military bases, airfields, railroads, and cities. Hitler got to test out his newest military strategy known as the blitzkrieg (lightning war), by sending tanks across the Polish countryside. The Soviet Union soon joined the fight during the last week of fighting by attacking Poland from the east. The attack over Poland had started World War II.

    After the fall of poland, the French and British troops on the Maginot Line (a system of fortifications built along France`s eastern boarder) and stared at Germany waiting for them to make a move.
