  • Early Life

    Walt disney was born ion december 5 in Hermosa, Chicago. He was one of four boys and one girl. He moved around a lot as a child but did spend a lot of time in Marceline where his family worked a farm. His dad was a very stict father growing up which prevented him form having a typicall childhood(DiMeglio). This along with his experinces in kanas is what led to his career.
  • Walts Ideas for a Theme Park

    Disney's inspiration all started back when he was 18. He got a job working at the kansas city art studio. From there he showed great passion in what he was doing and great attention to detail. There was an amusment park near his job and that is where his true ideas from disney world came from(Walt Disney Biography). This shows that Disney had a joy for what he did from the very beginning.

    In 1939 Walt Disney recieved an academy award for snow white and the seven dwarfs. This movie was one of kind with the love story and animation(Walt Disney Biography). This was the very beginning of Walt Disney's career. Snow WHite and the Seven Dwarfs was an amazing movie that was fun for all ages.
  • Walt Disney Wins an Oscar

    Walt Disney won an oscar in 1955 for special effects for the work in the twenty thousand leagues under the sea. In his thank you speech he says that all the wokr that goes into any film is a joint effort, and that this is for eveybody that worked on twenty thousand leagues under the sea (Walt Disney Studios wins special effects). Disneys speech was very short and sweet because he always seems nervouse on stage. He also does not like taking all the credit for things as he made clear in his speech

    Walt Disney was a very determined to be amazing. After creating disney world he came up witht he idea for epcot. Epcot was going to be a community based in the future (Walt Dsneys original epcot film). This film really shows how excited and dedicated Disney was to this new idea of epcot. Disney mentions that he cannot wait to get the project started. Because he was a very dedicated and hard working man, we can thank him for epcot today.
