North Vietnamese torpedo boats attacked the USS Maddox in the Gulf of Tonkin. This was the main reason the US became involved in the Vietamese War. -

Vietcong attacked cities through southern Vietnam. This is one of the major turning points in the war because it showed the immense power and how far Vietnam was willing to go to get what they want. -
