Nixon didn't feel like we had enough troops in the Vietnam war and felt that we needed to send an additional 200,000 troops to the war. -

Since the :Vietcong was being so effective we decided that we needed to drop B-52 bombs on the nation to make everything easier for the troops. -

The Vietcong would attack when there enemies weren't ready for it and that included holidays as well. They planned these attacks for many days and thought every situation through and how to do it. The Vietcong were very smart. -

Ho Chi Minh was the leader of Vietcong. He was the one that planned everything to do and didn't really think of the after effect. -
Nixon extends war into Cambodia
Nixon didn't feel like fighting in the Vietcong's home field. So Nixon exstended the war into Cambodia to make it easier. -
Kent State students are killed
Kent State students were standing up for what they believed in and wanted the war to end and four of the students ended up dying. -
A cease fire agreement is signed in Paris
A cease fire agreement was signed in Paris so that there would be no more shooting or bombing. The war wasn't officially "over" and is supposively still going on today if the Vietcong wanted it to. -
The draft is ended
Since the war was about to end/ending the draft for American Civilians ended and no more Americans had to be drafted into the Army to go over to Vietnam . -
Troops are pulled out of Vietnam
All the troops that were still alive over in Vietnam were brought back to the states for fighting. None of them were honored with awards or appreciated.
