    A.S. Douglas created the first graphical computer game - a version of Tic-Tac-Toe. The game was programmed on a EDSAC vaccuum-tube computer, which had a cathode ray tube display.

The only survivors of this event was Atari and Magnavox.

    Began with the Japanese release of both the Nintendo Family Computer (later known as the Nintendo Entertainment System in the rest of the world) and Sega SG-1000. Also, this was a generation which it ended the North America dominance in the videogame market, which began to be a controled by Japan. Also, there was the transition from single-screen or flip-screen graphics to scrolling graphics.

    The 16 bit era began by the release of Nippon Electric Companie's PC engine. Also, this era is know as the begining of rivarly between Nintendo and Sega. Alos, it began the release of portable consoles, like the Game Boy and Atari Lynx.

    By releasing the Nintendo 64 bit, Playstation and Sega Saturn, began the 5th generation, also knew as 32 bit era. The most iportant evolution is the creation of 3d games in videogame consoles. It also the begginign of the creation of emulators for past videogames generations.

    With the 4 most powerful videogame corporations, Sony, Nintando, Microsoft and Sega created the Playstation 2, Gamecube, the Xbox and teh Dreamcast (which was the first one to be created of those 4). Also, it is the beggining of Microsoft in the videogame industry. This period is known as the 128 bit era, and was the beginnig for videogames with much better graphics and use of numerous technologies.
  • Videogame 7th Generation

    This era is just formed by Nintendo (Wii and Ds), Sony (Playstation 3 and PSP) and Microsoft (Xbox 360). Nevertheless, this is the period with more inovations than any other generation. Here began the use of wireless controlers, wi-fi games, 3D games, sensro games and it still bringing more news.
