    First Mormons enter the valley
    July 24, 1847, 143 men, 3 women and 2 children entered the Salt Lake Valley and founded it. The first 2 men to enter the valley were Orson Pratt and Erastus Snow.

    Utah finally becomes a state once polygamy is stopped being practiced by mormons.
