    Treaty of Versailles was a main agreement to the end of World War I. The agreement was between Germany and the Allied Powers. Signed 5 years after the assassination Franz Ferdinand. Germany had to pay for reparations caused in the war.

    The Allies founded the League as a method of avoiding war. When the League was set up, Germany was excluded from joining. Germany, after the Locarno Pact 1925 managed to secure negotiations for Germany to join. In September 1926, Germany was admitted to the League, to join all the other great powers.

    The Dachau concentration camp was established in March 3, 1933. It was the first regular concentration camp established by the National Socialist government. Heinrich Himmler, as police president of Munich, officially described the camp as "the first concentration camp for political prisoners."

    Hitler after given the dictatorial power in Germany makes the Nazis the only political party. He wanted to expand the Nazi power everywhere. This leads to a really unfair Germany.

    Germany left the League of Nations. They left because they didn't want to be a part of "unfair" agreements. Germany felt betrayed by any agreement against them. That is why they decided to just not be a part of this.

    The first way Hitler broke the Treaty was over Germany’s armed forces. In 1934, he destroyed the League of Nations Disarmament Conference by demanding equality of arms with France and Britain, this broke the Treaty because it had set up the League with the stated aim of achieving disarmament. At first, Hitler broke the Treaty’s terms by building up his army in secret, drilling volunteers with spades instead of rifles.

    The Nuremberg Race Laws of 1935 deprived German Jews of their rights of citizenship, giving them the status of "subjects" in Hitler's Reich. The laws also made it forbidden for Jews to marry or have sexual relations with Aryans or to employ young Aryan women as household help. This took away the rights of Jews in Germany.

    The Berlin Games were the 10th occurrence of the modern Olympic Games. The 1936 Olympics were held in a tense, politically charged atmosphere. The Nazi Party had risen to power. This was famous for the "Jesse Owens" story.

    A massive, coordinated attack on Jews throughout the German Reich on the night of November 9, 1938, into the next day, has come to be known as Kristallnacht or The Night of Broken Glass.
    The attack came after Herschel Grynszpan, a 17 year old Jew living in Paris, shot and killed a member of the German Embassy staff there in retaliation for the poor treatment his father and his family suffered at the hands of the Nazis in Germany.

    The Soviet Union was expelled from the League of Nations following the pact with Germany and aggression against Finland. The Soviet Union only became a member of the League of Nations in 1934, a year after Germany left, and was expelled from the League on 14 December 1939 for aggression against Finland. This resulted them leaving due to their actions.
