Sugar was the financial backbone of the West Indies, which is created through an elaborate process of refining in a sugar mill. It needs a large amount of land, which requires many workes mostly enslaved Africans. To control the slaves the English established the Barbados Slave code which controled the slaves. This led to the slave labor system in the English Colonies in North America, by providing an example and setting a presedant saying it was ok to own slaves.

The indians made one last effort to upset English settlement in their world. They were crushed by the English. This led to the treaty of 1646 between the Native Americans and the English. The Indinas were cast out and any hopes of peacefully coexisting were dashed.

The Act of Tollerance in Maryland said that all religions that accepted the divinity of Jesus would be tolerated. Religions that didn't accept Jesus, were prosecuted. Charles I was beheaded because the Puritans wanted to get rid of the Church of England. Many thought it was to Catholic, so they got rid of Charles and empowered Cromwell, who was the strictest Puritan there ever was.
