    Proclamation of 1763
    This proclamtion did not allow colonists to settle west of the Appalachian Mountains.The British governmentfeared the conflict between the colonists and Native Americans would lead to another war. THey also could not afford to pay British troops to defend the western lands.Colonists were enraged by this proclamation because they felt they had won the right to settle in the Ohio River Valley after winning the French and Indian War.

    The stamp act was a law that requiresall legal and commercial documents to hold an official stamp proving that a tax has been paid. This law was in the colonies and was from the britain.

    The Quartering act was a law requiring you to provide supply and housing for british soldiers. The reason this law was put up because it would be cost saving.

    Group of laws requiring taxes on goods brought into the british colonies. It was als a plan to raise revenue,and occured in the colonies.

    Tea Act and Boston Tea Party
    Colonist dumped 342 crates of tea into the boston harbor to protest the tea act. Colonists would now have to pay taxes on regulated tea. Tea could only be sold by their merchants.

    The battles of lexington and concord were the first battles of the revolutionary war. No one knows who fired first it was known as the "shot heard round the world." British victored at lexington the minutemen and militamen victored at concord.

    The olive branch petition was a peace treasty and this document asked the king to have peace between the colonies and britain. The king refused, he then gave even more punishment such as using the british navy to block the gateway so american ships cant come in or out.
