The Western Frontier was essentially closed to the colonists after being won over from the French. The Western Frontier was closed off so as not to push the Indians further out of their own land. -

The Quarting Act
After the French and Indian war the king of England enforced quartering on the colonists. The colonists in New York refused saying it violated the Bill of Rights. -

Tax on paper, lead, glass and tea. The revenue was used to pay the salaries of the govoners. -

The Olive Branch Petition was a letter directly to the king from Congress to show the king how royal govenors treated the colonists. -
