    Diem took over South Vietnam as a "democratic" leader. He was guided by a corrupt government resulting in public riots and suicide. Evetually the U.S. agreed that we had to get rid of Diem and we assassinated him. The assassination was not under kenndy's order

    when over 1000 college students stood outside their school in protest against the expansion of war in Cambodia.It was a peaceful protest, but the guards who shot at the crowd claimed to be responding to shots fired at them which was from a sniper on a neighboring rooftop. Four students were shot and killed while many others wher injured.
