The French and Indian War led up to the event because they feared of more lifes being lost. the British created a deividing line between colonial and Indian lands. Some colonists hated it and felt that Britian should allow the colonies to expand rappidly. The British enforced the rules more. This led to some people not following the agreement and some colonies expanding past Appachians.

    It was a way to raise money for the British army. The French and Indian War caused this event. The Brittians lost a lot of money during the war. Britian taxed colonies for sending sugar. They also raised taxes for the colonists. The colonists were angry that their taxes were raised, so people smuggled goods a lot. The British would throw smugglers in jail and go to court. This led to people joining the boycott so it would hurt the British economy.

    It was important because it was supposed to be a better way for the colonists to pay their share of militarh expenses. The sugar act caused this event, because of all the complaints the people had. People had to buy stamps so they could get food. The colonists began to protest the stamp act almost immediately. the British tried to result the problem by abolishing the stamp act. This led to more people protesting against the stamp act. It ended because the British finally abolished it.

    It's important because it placed duties on imported glass, lead, paints, paper, and tea. The stamp act lead to it, becausethey needed to pay military expenses. They tried to create new vice-admiralty courts in which to try smugglers. The colonists responded with another large-scale boycott of British goods. The British found it as a way to gain more money for the military. It ended, because governer Francis Bernard requested troops to help restore order.

    It is important because there was tension between the Bostinians and the British soldiers. The sending of the British troops to Boston caused the event. A sentry was in Boston and a crowd was gathering around. Soldiers came and shot in the crowd which killed five people. The colonists saw it as murder. The British said it was self-defense from a mob. They had a trial which helped prevent further violence by quiting the unrest.

    It's important, because it was to get the British east India company more money and it was cheaper for the colonists. The colonists bought several millian pounds of tea each year. The British east India company tried to sell the tea directly to the colonies. The colonists feared that the British would get a monopoly and others would follow that and threaten colonial buisiness. The British thought of it as a way to get more money. Colonists united in oppositin to the Tea Act.

    It was important because there were conflicts between unloading th cargo of tea. British ships sailed to the harbor with tea to sell and thats how it started. Some colonists disguised as indians snuck on the ships and poured all the tea into the harbor. The colonists spread the word and said "Boston harbor is a teapot tonight." The British were afraid to affend the governer. It led to severe punishments from the British.

The colonies had to pay for the waste of all that tea dumped out. Colonists wrote pamphlets, editorials, and plays to criticize the British. The British created punishments for the colonists. Representatives of colonies went to debates and tried to reason with the British and their abuses.

    The Battle of Bunker Hill
    This event was important, because it was to drive the British out of the area. This event was caused because the minutemen surrounded the British troops and fought them. The colonists were fighting against the British on Bunker Hill. To the colonists, the battle was a moral victory, even though they lost. The British gained control of Bunker Hill but suffered more then thousands of deaths. This event led to colonists getting cannons and firing at them. That drove the British up to Canada.

This event led to York Town surrendering and creating the Treaty of Paris.
