The Indian Citizenship Act was an act that granted citizenship to the indigenious people of the United States. Previously, indigenous people did not have citizenship, even though they met all of the requirements of the 14th amendment.

On October 24, 1929, the stock market had a great crash that triggered the Great Depression in the United States. This depression eventually spread into a global depression. During the Depression, global GDP declined by 15% and in the United States alone, over 15 million people did not have jobs as unemployment rates rose by 25%.

A severe drought led to a series of very severe dust storms that plagued the Mid-West. Farmers had farmed the same topsoil for years, leading it to be knocked loose and turned into dust. The high winds of the midwest combined with the drought caused this dust to be blown in massive clouds across the plains. It damaged agriculture severely.

On the morning of December 7th, 1941, Japanese bombers surprise attacked the US Naval Base at Pearl Harbor. The attack killed 2,400 people, including some civilians, and damaged or sunk 19 US ships. It was the first-ever attack on US soil.
