The Stamp Act is where there is a tax on newspapers, legal documents and even playing cards. -
The Townshend Act
This was an act on imports like lead, glass, paper, tea and paint. This was in response to dissent and attempt to collect revenue. -
Boston Massacre
The Boston Massacre was a deadly riot between the British and the colonists. Sadly 5 colonists were dead by the end of this. And no one knows for sure who started the Boston Massacre. -
The Tea Act
The Tea Act gave the East India Company a monopoly or complete control over tea sales in the colonies. The tea was cheaper, but still had a small tax on it. This angered the colonists because took business away from other tea sellers and it limited the colonists choices. -
Boston Tea Party
The Boston Tea party is where over a 100 people, 340 crates of tea were thrown over into the Boston Tea Party. The colonists also dressed up as Native Americans to show that they were Americans and not British subjects. -
Intolerable Acts
The Intolerable Acts was punishment for the Boston Tea Party, they made these laws to try and break the colonists spirit and stop them from boycotting. -
Battle of Lexington and Concord
The Battle of Lexington and Concord is a fight between the British soldiers and the colonists, the British were there originally to take away the weapon stash that the colonists had. The British won the battle of Lexington, but the colonists won the battle of concord.
