    Kamehameha's legacy. He united all the islands and fought many battle. He crated a law call the splintered paddle that was meant to defend innocent people. Kamehameha's legacy was carried on by his son liliho.

    When captain Cook arived to Hawaii The Hawaiians mistook him for lono.The Hawaiians and Captain Cook setted up a trading system. Captain Cook tried to go back to sea but the ship was wrecked by a storm he tried to go back to Hawaii but was unwelcomed because he mostly to all the food and other supplies from Hawaii. Captain Cook took Kamehameha as hostage and went to try get his ship back But during the fight between Kamehamehas men and Cooks men Captain cook got caught in the crossfire and die.

    Kaumualii knew that his forces wouldnt last against kamehameha so he went to Honolulu to make a treaty. When he and Kamehameha met they made a agreement. Kaumualii would still rule Kauai but Kauai has to be under Kamehameha's rule

    Kalanikupule's army was positioned in the Nuúanu Valley. Kamehameha's forces and kalanikupule forces met. Kamehameha won the battle because of better weaponary and the better practice of his warriors.The soldiers that were not killed by weapons were pushed off a cliff. Kaolaukani Kalanikupules brother escaped but was then caught and sacrificed.

    Kamehameha's first attempt failed because of a storm. His second attempt failed Because a disease wiped out his army. But Kamehameha did not give up. He started building up his army in O'ahu for his third attempt to conquer Kauai.

After he ended kapu there was a small war and after the war the missionaries arrived trying to get them to follow their religion.Liholihos reign was full of doubt.

    During captains cook's visit Ka'ahumanu went to one of the ships and ate with men.The natives see that she's not being punished by the gods started doubting their belifs. After Kamehameha dies kapu starts to weaken even more. During Liholihos coronation she announces her position as prime minister.Ka'ahumanu setted up a feast and trys to pressure Liholiho into eat with the woman.He ate with the woman after being asked by his brother and mom the natives sees this and cheers.

    The missionaries assignment was to build churches,houses and schools. They also had to teach the hawaiians how to read the bible. When the missionaries arrived some people were unhappy and some people were happy.

They had plenty of problems during their first year like needing more money,workers and better mill rollers. The reason they did not have a lot of workers was because only a little bit of the hawaiian population was still alive.
