    On September,1, 1939, Germany invaded poland and defeated them. Germany used tanks and airplanes during the war to get through the polish defenses on the border.

    Roosevelt responded to the European war by issuing a proclamation of neutrality. Roosevelt kept pushing to help Britain.He even pushed the Neultrality act through congress also. This allowed belligerents to purchase war materials and aided the British because Britain controlled the Atlantic's sea lanes.

    Fall Of France

    On May 10th, 1940, Germany Invade and defeated france by using two operations. The first operation was launched by cutting off and surrounding the allied units. The second operation was Case Red. During this operation Germany used air and land mobility to finish france off on June 22, 1940.

    The Atlantic Charter was a declaration that was released by U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt on Aug 14,1941.The document, which was not a treaty, stated that the two leaders “deem it right to make known certain common principles in the national policies of their respective countries on which they base their hopes for a better future for the world.”
  • Attack on Pearl Harbor

    The Japanese did a surprise attack on the U.S. Naval Baes in Hawaii. 2,403 Americans were killed and 1,178 others were wounded.
