    A battle between colonist and British were neither of them expected an actual battle to start until someone randomly fired a bullet out of no where unknown of which side it was from. This was significant because it was the first step for the colonist to become free.

    This was the first major win in the war for the Americans and had boosted their confidence greatly they had crossed the river so they would not be easily detected and it worked.

    After crossing the Delaware River they had defeated British troops at Trenton which boosted the morales of all the soldiers and had given them even more hope and belief.

    George Washington leads troops to defeat British soldiers in Princeton which saved the morale of the troops after many losses.

    11,000 soldiers were stationed all over Valley Forge and due to the harsh winter hundreds of them died from disease and the ones that did survive were terribly ill. This was extremely bad for the Americans as they had lost many soldiers without even fighting.

    France and U.S signing Treaty of Amity made them allies and France helped the U.S in the war. This was the first help that the U.S had received during the war.
