  • Integrity Vs Despair in Psychosocial Development

Integrity Vs Despair in Psychosocial Development
This stage is reflecting back on life. In this stage I included a photo of a couple of my really close girlfriends. If I reflect back on my life I for sure have made my share of mistakes, but I have learned and grown so much over time. I love my children, family and friends more than anything. Even the mistakes that I have made I don’t regret as they have helped to shape me into who I am today. By this stage you will have either a sense of satisfaction or a sense failure.
  • Intimacy Vs Isolation

    Intimacy Vs Isolation
In this stage I included a photo from my wedding day. The basis of this stage is about Love, being intimate, making commitments to others and caring about the needs of others. It is very important to have a strong sense of self which is essential to having the ability to form an intimate relationship. Those with poor sense of self tend to have less committed relationships.
  • Trust Vs Mistrust

    Trust Vs Mistrust
In this stage I added the day that my twins were born. In this stage they are learning to trust those who care for their basic needs. If they feel a sense of security, it will allow them to feel secure and trust. If they were not given the sense of security that they need, it could leave them with a feeling of mistrust which could in turn affect their interactions with others as they grow up.
  • Autonomy Vs Shame/Doubt

    Autonomy Vs Shame/Doubt
In this stage I included a picture of a toddler potty training(internet photo as out of the hundreds of photos that i have, I don’t have a picture of my kids on a potty i guess). In this stage, it is about learning independence. In this stage if the child is supported/encouraged, it will help them to grow up feeling secure and confident. These traits will follow them throughout the rest of the stages in their life.
  • Generativity Vs Stagnation

    Generativity Vs Stagnation
In this stage I included an image of the Autism Symbol because I am a Registered Behavior Technician. I do one on one therapy with Autistic children. In this dining a purpose plays a big role. I find a HUGE purpose in the job that i work. It is exhausting, but so rewarding. By having a positive relationship with others leaves me feeling productive. Had I not help the job I work or another one we’re i get the fulfilled feelings might leave me feeling stagnant.
  • Initiative Vs Guilt

    Initiative Vs Guilt
In this stage I included a photo of my twins when they started preschool this year. I’m this stage children learn social interaction. There is also a LOT of why question asked. It’s very important in this stage to have a lot of encouragement/guidance, these things will help to promote creativity in this stage and throughout their life.
  • Industry Vs Inferiority

    Industry Vs Inferiority
In this stage, I included a photo of my middle son(13) and I from last summer when we traveled to Oregon for a baseball tournament. In this stage teachers and even coaches play big role in teaching new skills. Once trust is acquired in this stage, it helps to promote emotional health throughout life.
  • Identity Vs Role Confusion

    Identity Vs Role Confusion
In this stage I included a photo of my oldest(17) who graduates this summer and heads to college in Arizona. They begin figuring out what they want to do in life. It is very important in this stage that they experiment with different roles which intern help was develop a sense of direction in life. If there isn’t an identity formed at this point, teens often aren’t sure what they want to do in life)which can leave them feeling disappointed and confused about were they are in life.
