This book takes place in a 3rd world country in modern day. It has a tropical climate and is probably near the equator. It also is surrounded by water on at least one side.

There are three main characters, Rat, Gardo, and Raphael. All three of them are really poor and make a living by selling trash. Gardo is the oldest of the three. Raphael and Rat are the same age. They all are very bright.

Police come to Rapheal and Gardos neighborhood asking if anyone has seen a wallet while looking through trash.

Gardo and rapheal find a wallet containing money while searching through the trash.

The police interogate rapheal about the wallet. Rapheal doesnt tell them that he found it.

The three boys find out that in order to find out the importance of the wallet, they have to find a person in prison

Rat goes to the prison to meet the prison inmate with the help of a lady teaching at the missionary.

The prisoner gives rat a coded bible. Rat doesnt know what its for.

The prisoner tells rat all about the coruption of the government. Now rat understands the importance of the wallet.

The police ask rat for the bible.

They try to arrest rapheal after he gives the cops the bible so, he rips the bible out of a cops hands and runs away.

The three boys crack the code of a bible. they find out that they need to go to a graveyard

The boys find a tombstone matching the codes description.

The boys break open the tombstone and find a lot of money.

Rat decides to donate his share of the money to the missionary

Gardo decides to throw his money all around the trash site.

Rapheal buys a fishing boat and a house with his money so him, rat, and Gardo can work and live together
