Your toddler is trying their best to really hone in on their fine motor skills. You may notice them getting quite a bit of exercise from all their walking, running and climbing!

A toddler may exhibit aggressive behaviors (even if reactions are negative) they are simply learning to elicit responses and interact, they are egocentric at this age.

Your toddler may now be riding a tricycle....and biting. The terrible tantrums set in and things with your toddler may get physical! It is common for toddlers this age to bite and scratch.

You may notice great progress intellectually with your toddler. They can now follow simple directions and learn new words quickly.

Toddlers may stat to roughhouse more- especially boys. It is not uncommon for them to start to favor minimal violence such as crashing their toys together.

Your child is developing the skills needed to read and write and can recognize signs such as STOP and Restroom.

Physically they can recognize harm. They know scissors are sharp and that the stove is hot.

Your toddler may become empathetic, and this kind of self regulating brain maturation usually is first shown to teachers and peers.
