    Complete
    The Titanic was completed and ready to set sail on March 31st 1912. This project was designed and approved in July, 1908. This process was started on Merch 31st 1909 and took three years to build
  • Off to sea

    On April 2nd, the Titanic set off to Southampton to pick up passangers. This was the begining of a long journey
  • More Passangers

    After picking up people in Southampton, the Titanic went to Cherbourg, France. The Titanic then sailed to Queenstown Ireland for it's last stop before America.
  • Tilting and Sinking Faster

    Tilting and Sinking Faster
    Two hours and forty minutes after Titanic struck the iceberg, her rate of sinking suddenly increased as her forward deck dipped underwater and the sea poured in through open hatches and grates.
  • Splitting Apart

    Splitting Apart
    The Titanic's unsupported stern rose above the water, revealing the propellers, the ship split apart. The stern stayed above water for a few minutes, rising to a verticle angle with many people clinging to it.
  • Completely underwater

    At 2:20 am The Titanic sank. The remaining passengers plunged into the freezing tempature water which was 28 degrees farenheit and moost froze to death and drowned.
  • The survivors

    Around 4:00 am RMS Carpathia arrived to the Titanic's earler distress calls. Only 710 people survived and 1,514 peole died.

  • The iceburg that hit the ship

    The iceburg that hit the ship
    Frederick Fleet spotted an iceberg immediately ahead of Titanic and alerted the bridge. First Officer William Murdoch ordered the ship to be steered around the iceburge and the engines to be put in reverse, but it was too late; the starboard side of Titanic struck the iceberg, creating a series of holes below the waterline. Five of the ship's watertight compartments were breached. It soon became clear that the ship was doomed.

    Titanic began sinking bow-first, with water spilling from compartment to compartment as her angle in the water became steeper.The ship's lifeboats had only enough space to carry about half of those on board; if the ship had carried her full complement of about 3,339 passengers and crew, only about a third could have been accommodated in the lifeboats.[
  • Getting Iceberg Warnings

    The Titanic recieved iceberg warnings throughout the day. The Titanic had not seen any icebergs until 11:40 at night. Frederick fleet was the one to spot the Iceberg
