Timeline of exposure to traditional/new media

  • Radio

    During this time and even up to today, radios can be found pretty much area. They could be found in cars, malls, and other places. Surely as a baby with my parents I've probably heard at least one.
  • Television

    I believe that this was the time I started to watch television More consistently. My favorite program was a show named Blue's Clues and I found it really entertaining.
  • Cellphone

    In 2005, my mom switched phones and had no purpose with the previous phone. Therefore, she gave her old one to me so that I can play with it as it featured a game that was "The Sims" like.
  • Newspapers

    As I entered elementary, I was instructed to read more as it was a relevant skill to have in school. A common example that I had to read was the newspaper although I struggled a lot.
  • Books

    In the 2nd grade, the school has introduced to us the LMS version of Independent Home Program work, in this case it was book reports. Growing up, I did not like reading and I didn't like this book in particular.
  • Social Media

    In 2009, Facebook had a sudden boom in the Philippines in terms of new users. Being the hip person I was at this age, I joined the bandwagon. This year, I made a Facebook page mainly for games and I made a twitter account due to peer pressure.

    With the status of students in MI, a lot of my classmates started to get iPhones even though we were just like in the 4th grade. Being the kid who gets the fear of missing out, I asked my parents if I could get one. He said no. Instead, they got me a Samsung Galaxy Y. It looked similar to the iPhone and it was cheaper.

    It was only in high school where I learned how to use research papers for research related projects.
  • Laptop

    In 2017, I got my first laptop which is a must need in order to survive high school.
