Equifax Credit Agency

Equifax is the oldest agency of the three bureaus. It was found by two brothers Cator & Guy Woolford. This agency is based out of Atlanta Georgia.

Fair Housing Act (FHAct)

The Fair Housing Act was passed as a part of the Civil Rights Acts of 1968. The Act prohibits discrimination in many activities of the residential real estate industry besides Lending.

TransUnion Credit Agency

TransUnion was created as the parent holding company of Union Tank Car Company. This agency is based out of Columbus, Ohio.

The Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA)

Experian Credit Agency

Experian is the youngest of the three credit agencies and the only agency founded outside of the United States. It's birth place was Nottingham, England. This agency is based out of Dublin, Ireland.

The IRS stablish the ITIN

During this time the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) created the Individual Tax Identification Number (ITIN). It's purpose was to facilitate foreing individuals that had no Social Security number to pay the taxes that they are legally require to pay.

Experian U.S. Presence
