Olivia graduated from University of New South Wales in a Batchelor of Science majoring in Psycology and Marketing.

Olivia began her media management career by working as a global brand executive at BBC in the UK.
Oliva worked on projects like the Teletubbies gaining media rights management experience. -
Olivia returned back to Australia and began working at the Roadshow Entertainment based in Sydney. During this time Olivia worked on non-cinematic projects like the childrens program Hi-5. It is whilst working here where Olivia realised the opportunity in the education video sector.

A year before the offical launch of Kanopy, Olivia, with the support from her partner planned and created a business model of Kanopy.

Olivia launched her business, Kanopy, starting the business in her own home. The start up costs were around 10k to 15k, mainly invested in catelogues and travel allounce for networking and information gathering. The main opportunity cost during this stage was the loss of Olivia's salary.

In March 2009, Kanopy broke even and started to turn over. The profits from this was heavily invested to further grow and build the business.

Kanopy grew from a DVD distribution business to an online streaming business. With everything in the cloud, cost savings on physical dilveries and storing was established. The customer market (i.e. libraries and universities) grew as it was a matter of licencing and internet access rather than pysical location.

In 2012, Olivia was awarded the Commonwealth Bank WA Business Owner Award at the Telstra WA Business Women's Award Ceremony.

In 2012 also, Olivia was awarded the WA innovator of the year award.

Kanopy planning to expand into the US market and open its first physical office in June 2013.
