    Thomas Kuhn was a very well-educated man, as a child, he attended private, progressive schools which helped him think more independently. He started his college education at Harvard University in 1943, and obtained his bachelor's in physics, in 1946, his master's again in physics, and three years after that in 1949 he received his doctorate in the history of science, as well as several honorary doctorates throughout his career.

    Teaching

    After Thomas Kuhn got his Ph.D. he went on to start his teaching career at his alma mater, Harvard. He taught there from 1951 to 1956. He then went on to the University of California Berkley from 1956 to 1964, Princeton University from 1964 to 1979, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1979 to 1991.

    The Copernican Revolution
    Thomas Kuhn published his first book in 1957, The Copernican Revolution. The book centers around the heliocentric theory and was both history of astronomy as well as physics, touching on Newton, Aristotle, and Copernicus. Kuhn does a great job in catching the evolution of ideas throughout history in his book and having it revolve around one of the biggest questions mankind had for the longest time is a good way to capture the changes.

    The Structure of Scientific Revolutions
    In 1962, Thomas Kuhn published his more popular book, The Structure of Scientific Revolutions. This book was based on the history of science and was a big hit in history, science, and philosophy. This is the book where he introduces the Paradigm shift, this was a concept that Kuhn identified to explain the progress of science changing.
