  • French & Indian War

    A war over territory.

  • The Proclamation

    A law giving Native Americans all the land west of the of the Appalachian Mountains to stop the fighting.

  • The Stamp Act

    A law making colonists pay a tax for printed materials & when they paid for it they had to put a stamp on it saying they paid the tax.

  • The Quartering Act

    A law making colonists provide quarters & supplies to the British soldiers.

  • The Boston Massacre

    The people of Boston got so fed up with the British soldiers that they had a war with them.

  • The Boston Tea Party

    A law putting a tax on tea made the Sons of Liberty dump all of tea in to the ocean.

  • American Revolution

    A war for independence.

  • The Declaration of Independence

    A document getting independence from Britain.
