    The Triple Alliance was a treaty created between Germany, Italy, and Austria- Hungary and the creation of the triple alliance caused tension between nations and it also caused for many decorations of war to form when the war started.

    The treaty between France and Russia caused more tension and later it causes the triple Entente, a treaty between Russia, France and Britain, to form which causes more tension to form.

    Rise of Kaiser Wilhelm II
    Wilhelm was the ruler of Germany and he wanted to be very powerful, so he made weaponry and he let his treaty with Russia fail. This caused Russia to form a treaty with France and this caused Wilhelm to make many boats and this caused Britain to join the France and Russia and form the Triple Entente. This caused much tension between these countries.

    The nations believed that war was going to break out and by 1914 every countries except Britain had massive armies. This was militarism, the belief or desire of a government or people that a country should maintain a strong military, and this caused tension, and there was some much tension that now if anything were to happen all those powers would have massive armies on the stand by. There was also much nationalism, pride in ones country, and this caused many to want to defend their country.

    This was an alliance between the countries Britain, France and Russia. This caused the two groups, the Triple Entente and the Triple Alliance, to rivail and because it was made of most of the powers in Europe it could cause war over all nations.

    Austria took over Bosnia and Herzegovina and these areas had large Slavic populations. The Serbian leaders, who had rule these provinces, were outraged and this caused much tension between Serbia and Austria.

    The assassination of the Archduke was first a failed attempt but soon after, due to a sandwich, Gavrilo Princip killed both the Archduke and his wife. This ignited war between Austria and Serbia and caused Russia to then declare war on Austria and then more war started until it became a world war.

    The first declaration of war was Austria declaring war on Serbia, and this caused a chain reaction to happen, after that Russia declared war on Austria and then Germany declared war on Russia and two days later on France and this continued until it was a world war.

    After Germany declared war on France and Russia, Wilhelm came up with the Schlieffen plan which was to invade France right away and then go back and attack Russia and to go to France Germany was going to go through neutral Belgium. Then Great Britain declared war on Germany and after this much of Europe was in war.

    In mid-August the final lines were drawn between the Central powers, Germany, Austria and later the Ottomans, and on the other the Allies, Great Britain, France, Russia, and later Japan and Italy. This caused all these powers to go to war until the central powers eventually lost.
