The king hated losing money. He thought the colonists should be taxed because they won the war. So, he taxed all the paper. Boy, did this cause a riot.

    The Boston Tea Party

On a December night, several colonists dressed up as Native Americans so they could throw tea into the ocean. The colonists dumped 90,000 pounds of tea in the ocean, whew! That is a lot of tea. They did not destroy the crates though, because those were the colonists crates. This act was a huge step to the American Revolution.

    The Intolerable Acts

The king got really mad, oh sorry, EXTREMELY mad. He closed the Boston Harbor for business, he even said British soldiers accused of a crime, should be tried in Britain, not in the colonies. Massachusetts lost its charter. He reinforced the Quartering Acts, and man people got angry!
