  • The Treaty of Versailles

    The Treaty of Versailles was a treaty written after WW1 has ended and Germany has lost. The treaty of Versailles states all the responsibility that Germany needs to take in order to repair all the chaos that has occurred in Europe.
  • Hitler takes control of Germany

    Hitler began to rebuild the German army and navy, even though the treaty of Versailles doesn't allow for Germany to build an army. The league of nations created this in order to keep peace in Europe.
  • Invasion of Rhineland

    Hitler sent Nazi troops into Rhineland, a German territory that lies along a border in France.
  • Anschluss

    Hitler annexed Austria, which is where Hitler is from. he thought that because the Austrians spoke German and they also shared culturally similar to the german people. Hitler invaded Austria and was able to easily force the Austrian government to surrender to German control.
  • Munich pact

    When Britain and France agree to give Czechoslovakia to Hitler in return they made him sign the Munich pact which is a promise that Hitler made so it can prevent Hitler from invading other European countries.
  • Invasion of Czechoslovakia

    in September 1938, Hitler invaded Czechoslovakia and demanded that the Czech government surrender to Germany. The government of Czech wanted to fight the Nazi party but the powerful countries of the league of nations were very concerned and Britain and France, and chose to negotiation as a solution.
  • Nazi-Soviet Pact

    Since Hitler was scared of the USSR he and Stalin made a pact that states no to invade each other's countries. However, they privately agreed to invade and divide up the nation poland. This was also known as the spark of WW2.
  • Invasion of Poland

    Hitler and Stalin both secretly took control of Poland and divided amongst themselves. When the league of the nation found out that Hitler broke the Munich pact and that the method of negotiation has failed. Britain and France declared war on Germany.
