Proclamation o 1763
The proclamation stated that the land wast of the colonies was all for the Indians. This includes the Ohio River valley. Establishd 4 new colonies, Quebec, East Florida, West Floridia, and Grenada. -
Sugar Act
The Sugar act lowered the taxes for the British. The aim of this act was to calm down the colonists, it didn't work. -
Currency act
The Currency act didn't allow the colonists to print their own money. The colonists reaction was 'the call of Navel [sic] commanders who wished to assure that persons suspected of smuggling or other violations of the customs laws' -
Stamp Act
The Stamp Act issued that all legal printe documents would be taxed. This includes all flyers, property deeds, letters, and so on. This angered the colonists intensly. -
Quartering act
The quartering act ordered that all British were to be housed in American homes and barracks. The colonists refused to allow the soilders into their homes so the soilderes went back to their ship. -
Declaratrory Act
The Declatory Act stated that the British Parliament had the right to make laws for the American colonies in all matters and the colonies must obey. -
Townsend acts
The Townsend act stated that axes on glass, paint, oil, lead, paper, and tea were applied with the design of raising £40,000 a year for the administration of the colonies.
