    The Shot Heard 'Round The World
    The shot heard round the world is a phrase used to define the begining of the revolutionary war. A man, after narowly missing being arested by british troops, came back to Lexington with British troop behind him. Captain Parker asembled his minutmen, and they (The 77 minute men) fired against 250 British soliders. This incident happened at Lexington, and was the first action again the british, although no one know's who fired the first shot.

    George Washington Named The Commander and Cheif
    Washington served as a Virginia delegate for the Second Continental Congress in Philadelphia in 1775. In a fight for independence with Britain, he was given the title 'Commander-in-Chief of the Continental Army.' He was chosen to lead the army because of his experience and reputation. On July 3, 1775, at Cambridge, Massachusetts, he took command of his badly trained troops and entered a war that lasted 8 and a half years.

    Three days before this battle happend, the Boston Generals found out that British troops were going to fill the unocupied space around Boston. 1,200 troops under the command of William Prescot took over Bunker and Breed's Hill, building a fort on Breed's Hill. When the British found out their position, they forced an atack on the troops. Twice the British charged the Coliny's troop's without succses. The third time was the charm, and they succsesfully brought down the American.

It challenged the british athourity and was the first writing that directly said that the Americans should seperate from Britan. The phamplet made others either want to support the Americas or betray them, making the sides more black and white.

    This document, drafted by Thomas Jefferson, declared America's indipendance from Britan. It was drafted and edited through out june 11th- And jully third, finally being adopted on the fourth of July. Eventually, fifty six delagates signed the declaration of Indipendance. Some like Robert R. Livingston, never signed it although they were on the drafting commitiy.

    This battle was located in New York, the german and british troops against the America Continental Army.For the british was General Lord Howe and General George Washington was leading the American side. The battle was another loss for the Americans, suffering from 2,900 casualties. The british suffered 450 casualties of which 320 were Hessians.

    The Battle of Germantown was a fought and lost by the American's Continental army. Britan once again was the victourios, with only 8,000 troops against 11,000 American troops. 1,000 soliders were documented as casualities on the American side. The british had a lesser amount of casualities, rouding up to about 500 dead, wounded, or missing.

    The British and German fought against the American troops in this battle along the Hutson River. This was a battle was won by the Americans as they forced the oposing side to surrender. Their were 7,000 British soliders and 12,000 to 14,000 militia and troops for the Americans. The british suffered from 3,800 casualties. This was turning point in the war because the Americans won, and had far less casualties compared to the British.

    This battle was fought in New Jersey terriritory. There was no obvious sign as to who was the winner so the batle is usually taken as a draw. Their were 300 british casualties and 350 American casualities, and 100 men were thought to have died of heat stroke.

    This was breife seig during the revolutionary war. It was the second british fort to fall to the Spanish Military. This battle cleared the Mississippi River of British soliders and the Spanish had the lower regions of the river under their control.

    This battle took place in Virgina, Yorktown. The american and French fought against the british and won with 8,800 Americans and 7,800 French. The casualties during the siege had been 500 British, 80 Americans and 200 French.
