  • Navigation Acts

    The Nav Acts regulated trade between England and the 13 colonies. This caused friction between England and the 13 colonies who saw them as limiting growth and trade with other countries
  • French and Indian War

    The French and Indian War was a war bewteen the British the French adn the NA's for the Ohio River Valley. The British suddeny won and began to become the msot powerful nation in the world. They had to tax their colonists very high becuase of lall of the money that they spent on the war. This made the colonists hugely enraged.
  • Battle of Quebec

    The British soldiers made a sneak attack up a cliff, attacking the French fort in Quebec. William Pitt, the British leader who turned the war around, thought up the idea, adn the French leader was James Wolfe. The french later lost the war and surrendered.
  • Procolmation of 1763

    The Proclamation of 1763 was signed and created by the English because they couldn't waste anymore men or money on the Pontiac's War fighting the Native Americans, after the Native Americans were tired of being treated awfully and having their land and food taken away. The British drew a line of the Applaichan mountains, declaring that no one could go to or live in the Indians land anymore.
  • Townshend Acts

    Townshend acts were passed to place taxes on everyday goods such as paper, lead, tea, honey etc. Colonists became very angered
  • Parliament repealed taxes

    After the British government had many raids and complaints against them, they finally decided to lift the taxes, except for on tea, to stop the fighting because they still needed to make money after the war
  • Boston Massacre

    People outraged by quartering, stamp, townshend and other new laws, so they attacked at the Boston Common. They wanted a say in who they elected or in their government, so they attacked, and the soldiers guarding the building fired into the crows; killing 5 people
  • The Stamp Acts

    The Stamp Acts were a set of laws set to place taxes on any legal document, making money for the colony after it's debting war. The Stamp Acts led to large riots and other protests and new laws which the colonists hated.
