Dante writes an epic poem, the Divine Comedy. It's about Dante visiting hell, purgatory, then Heaven. He's explaining his thoughts of how it's like.

During the Renaissance time period there were empires in Asia like the Ottomans. These were huge and they took over many countries.

Johannes Gutenberg invented the first printing press. It made copying or writing important documents much easier.

Leonardo has painted The Last Supper and The Mona Lisa. I think she started the say cheese to the artist like we say cheese to the camera.

At this time he has already started his sculpture of David and now he is starting his famous Sistine Chapel.

Martin Luther hung the famous 95 Theses on the door of the Church of Wittenberg. This starts the Reformation. The Reformation is when some Christians start turning away from the power hungry Catholic Church to worship God different ways. (The Catholic Church aren't what they were back then so please have no bad feelings towards them)

Rome is sacked by the Holy Roman Emperor Charles V. No more Roman Empire. They gone.

This is the time period where the Renaissance starts to die down and take an end.

William Shakespeare builds the Globe Theater and writes many plays over the next few years including Hamlet and Macbeth.

Galileo uses his newly fixed telescope to observe the sky. He then finds all of Jupiter's moons. They're called Europa, Callisto, Lo, and Ganymede.
