    The Black Death or Bubonic Plague was a deadly disease that spread through Europe. This deadly disease started in 1348 and ended in 1350.It is estimated that the pandemic killed from 75-200 million people. Although there is not a definite answer to how the plague started there are several theories and the most credible states that the disease started due to a bacterium called Yersinia pestis.

    The Renaissance was a time of rebirth or reconstruction. In fact the word renaissance itself is means rebirth. The Renaissance roughly began in 1350 and ended in the early 1700's. During this time the interest in art and culture was revived. Also in this time, artists and musicians showed more freedom and indivuality in their peices of art. This sparked people to abandon the way that they used to create art which was very strict and had guidlines. This was also a time of humanism and religion.

    The printing press was a machine made by Gutenberg in 1445. This machine helped speed up the process of printing books or documents. Before people had to copy books by hand, which took a long time but with this machine, printing books became a lot faster. This invention was signifigant because before copying books was very hard and cost a lot of time, money and effort but with this machine, printing became a lot easier and more people were able to get their hands on books or documents and read.

    Leonardo da Vinci was born on Aoril 15, 1452 and died on May 2nd,1519. He was an Italian Renaissance polymath: painter, sculptor, architect, musician, mathematician, engineer, inventor, anatomist, geologist, cartographer, botanist, and writer. Leonardo was one of the most creative thinkers at the time. He was able to imagine the basic technologies that we have today. Da Vinci was also a pianter and sculpture. His inventions has changed the way we live today.

This invention was signifigant because before, human waste was dumped into the streets or the lake and that caused many diseases and it made the streets dirty. He also came up with the idea that the moon revolved around the Earth. This was all important because without this knowledge we wouldn't know about gravity and astronomy today.
