Sam
Early influences on Sam were quite negative. He lived in a very ghetto neighborhood and was forced to experience crime at a young age. When he was only seven, he succumbed to peer pressure and stole icees from a store. He was caught by the owner and horrified when the owner threatened to call the cops. This event, although, did scare Sam from crime, but as he gets older he continues to face problems involving crime and robbery. -
George
George meets his first grade teacher, Miss Johnson who helped kids stay on the right path, always encouraging them to do better. She exposed the students to Shakespeare and Algebra. Miss Johnson steered George in the right direction, early on, which really helped George stay out of trouble. -
Sam
At 17 years old, Sam commits a robbery with a group of his friends called "The Robin Hoods". Within seconds of the robbery, the cops show up and all of the robbers are arrested. If Sam would have been a few months older, he would have faced charges as an adult. The Robin Hoods were a negative influence on Sam and got him very close to being in a situation, in which he would not be able to come out of. -
George's Inspiration
George is taken to the Dentist where his becomes inspired about becoming a dentist himself. A great is formed between George and his dentist; George is always so curious about the tools his dentist uses and asks him numerous questions, admiring his profession. -
Rameck
Rameck gets into they drama club in his school.This was the first time he starts to get involved in school activities and actually starts to like coming to school. -
George
George meets Sam in seventh grade and become best friends, This is a key event because if there friendship never happened, they would never get to be friends with Rameck and thus never make the Pact. There lives would have been completely different if George and Sam had not become friends, -
The Pact Made
George, Sam, and Rameck become friends. The realize that in this world, they would only be able to survive and thrive due to each others support. They decide to make a make a Pact and always be there for each other in the midst of challenging circumstances. Because of this Pact, George, Sam, and Rameck were able to pull out of the environment they grew up in and make a name for themselves. -
Rameck
Rameck gets into a fight in school with some boys from another neighborhood.This event shows Rameck is on the verge of trailing off to a life of violence and unstability. -
Accepted
George, Sam, and Rameck all get accepted into the Pre-Medical/ Pre-Dental program at Seton Hall. This is a major turning point because their acceptance in the same program further reinforces their "Pact" and urges them even more to give 100% in their struggle towards sucess. -
Sam
Sam faces a lot of obstacles in college, such as failing the board exam, his mixed feeling about becoming a doctor, and his constant partying. Nevertheless, George and Rameck stayed close with his and ensured that he succeeded along with them. -
Rameck
Remeck meets Kay, who is very deceptive and sneaky. They start a relationship which soon ends as Rameck finds out she is still dating her high-school boyfriend. -
Graduation
Sam, George, and Rameck stick together all through college and graduate as Doctors.They proved that through deep and meaningful friendship, one could get through difficult times.This marks the fulfillment of their Pact but definitely not the end of their friendship
