But for those lotuses that they eat cause them to forget where their home is forever stuck on the island. So with the help of Odysseus's leadership, they were successfully able to escape the island.

    This portion of the story mainly focuses on Odysseus and his relationship with his men. This takes place after his men disobeyed him and opened the bag of wind because of their lack of trust. So this portion went into how Odysseus is more open with his men and chooses to lead them to escape the island. This could have restored some of the trust that they had.

So Odysseus has a plan to get the Cyclopes drunk and stab his eye out. He also has to hid behind sheep during his escape to not be seen by him.

    Durring this portion of the trip they spent the last few days on Circe’s island. And before they left she warned them of the Scylla, a six headed sea monster who destroy ships and the Charybdis a dangerous vortex. To evade this situation odeysseus has to say extreamly close to the rocks to avoid them. So he decides after everything he went trough he did not listen to her. Because of this 6 men died but that was the perfect distraction to kill the Scylla.

Little did they know that cattle belonged to the sun god helios, and because they ate his cattle and because those were Odysseus crew he took the Blair and was punished by Helios and Zeus. This was the main cause for his 7 year detour form his journey

But him and his disappearance became widespread trough Ithaca, so a group of suitors decided to try to take his wife’s hand in marriage and take his fortune and house because of his absence. But his wife still had hope that he would return so she stalled the suitors with impossible task which only Odysseus is capable of doing. Soon Odysseus disguised as an old man comes home does the task and rightfully takes.

This is because as readers we are supposed to suspect that his wife would think that Odysseus died and would have re married. But she shows the readers that this in not true and stays faithful. In the case of Odysseus he had the choice to be unfaithful and cheat oh is wife with circe but the better oh him stops him showing that they still loved each other even thought they haven’t seen each other for 20 years.

But worth the determination and wits of Odysseus they were able to escape the island.

    During this portion of the story on his way back to Ithaca Odysseus and his crew had a very close encounter with sirens. Sea monsters who look like women who use their magical song to cause ships to crash. The way he overcame this nósticas was for his men to tie him up so he couldn’t move. He also instructed his men to plug up their ears so \the song would not have effect on them. And because of this quick thinking they were able to escape the deadly encounter.

He had to quickly formulate a plan to ensure their safety and the least amount of casualties. So this is a prime example of him showing amazing leadership skills.
