NES helped Nintendo in their company development and was the single greatest video gaming console in the history of Imagine Games Network (IGN) and Nintendo.   • Super Nintendo Entertainment System

    Super Nintendo Entertainment System
    The Super Nintendo was inspired by the original NES. It was an improvement from the NES with the development of advanced graphics, sound capabilities, and a variety of enhancement chip that were integrated into game cartridges. It easilsy was one of the best consoles of it's time.

  • Nintendo 64

    Nintendo 64
    The Nintendo 64 was released in Japan already on the international market. The new addition to the console included cartridges that held game data rather than saving it onto the console. It came in many different colors and limited edition controllers, where as the previous gaming systems only came in gray and had all the same controllers.

    The Gamecube was the first console in Nintendo to use optical disks as storage. It was similar to the miniDVD format but the system was not made to play standard miniDVDs, it was created with the ability to have online gaming through a modem adapter or via link cable.     The Nintendo Wii was released in Japan and a breaking sales record in the US. The Wii introduced the Wii remote controller that detects movement in three dimensions along with a WiiConnect24 that reads all the movements.The Wii was their first virtual console that also features the past systems' games and it connects to networks.
