    15 major acts were passed to help revive the economy. The hundred days changed the country drastically and aided in reconstruction of the American economy and people through financial and social reforms.
  • Fireside chats

    To explain his plans better to the American people Roosevelt talks to them directly through his fireside chats. This move secured Roosevelts popularity and allowed him to sell his ideas to the American people.
  • Civilian conservation corps created

    To create jobs many young men were employed clearing forests and doing other government jobs. This relief prooved moderately effective but overall did not help end the depression much.
  • Securities act passed

    Made transparency a priority for the people. Banks could not lie to investors anymore.
  • Agricultural Adjustment Act passed

    in an effort to drive prices up farmers are paid to destroy crops. This wasnt very effective and sparked public outrage at wasting food.
  • Tenesee valley authority created

    TO ensure the well being of the hard hit region known as the tenesee valley an administration was created. The Authority watched over the farmers and egrarian peoples who were affected largely by the depression.
  • Home owners loan corp created

    This act encouraged people to buy homes. Offering low morgages prevented banks from hurting people.
  • Public works administration created

    To better the country and give people more jobs the p.w.a. was founded. It was a win win because people got jobs and the country got better public spaces
  • N.R.A. formed

    the National Recovery Administration was created to bring the country back. It helped in numerous ways and reached its powers across all aspects of industry, creating new regulations to ensure the depression would never happen again
  • National industrial recovery act passed

    N.I.R.A. allowed the president to permit certain monopolies to stimulate the economy. N.I.R.A. also gave people publics work jobs.
  • National Labor Relations Act

    The national labor relations act allowed workers new rights. A strong work force was kept with the rights to bargain collectiviely and form unions.
  • social security act created

    this act gave a sum of money to people over 65. This initiative was effective in aiding the elderly and making it so more jobs were available for young people.
  • Farm Securities Administration Created

    Rural poverty was rampant during the depression. The F.S.A.C. gave subsidies to farmers and allowed people to buy farms and grow their industry again.
  • Fair Labor Standards Act

    The flsa introduced a 40 hour work week or 7 day work week as a maximum. The flsa also stopped child labor and created a minimum wage, these were revolutionary and effective as seen by their use to this day.
